INTERNSHIP/VOLUNTEER

Interested in volunteering? The Art and History Museums cannot run without the generous help from our docents, interns, and volunteers.

Do you love art and history? Are you looking for new pursuits? Or are you interested in what it is like to work in an art or history museum? Do you have three to six hours to spare every week or two?

The Museums of Los Gatos needs volunteers to provide their skills and talents in several volunteer positions. Our volunteers help with special projects such as installing/de-installing exhibits, helping with events and most importantly, acting as museum docents by providing assistance and greeting our museum guests.

Ages 18 and up welcome. No previous art or history experience necessary, but always appreciated. Ongoing training is provided. Weekday, weekend and evening shifts (as needed with events) are available and can accommodate a variety of schedules.

We understand that everyone has a different schedule and cannot always work the same hours. Therefore, we have implemented an easy schedule with various times.

The Art Museum is open Wednesday-Sunday from 11:00am-5:00pm.

The available shifts are:
11:00 am – 2:00 pm
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
11:00 am – 5:00 pm
noon – 4:00 pm
